Newest Trends in wedding photography
Every year, new trends take the stage at weddings. Recently in the food industry, cupcakes drew attention as the confection of choice. At bridal boutiques, strapless wedding dresses are all the rage. The photography business isn’t immune to these ever-changing trends. Here's five wedding photography ideas you might want to consider:
Have some alone time before the ceremony. There’s a question that every bride and groom has to ask themselves: Do we want to take pictures after the ceremony (preserving the moment when the bride and groom first sees each other in their wedding garb) and miss the cocktail hour of the reception? Or would we rather do photos before the ceremony, but miss out on the moment that the groom first sees his bride in her white wedding dress? So, how cool is this idea? Isolate the groom in a room with the photographer, then let the bride in for the two to spend some moments together alone. Then their honest, emotional reactions can be caught on camera without the distraction of family members of the bridal party.
Shun formality in favor of letting your hair down. Instead of walking around the reception site taking the same posed pictures with each guest, let your photographer use his or her skills to capture you in casual, moments-of-life type of photos. When you get your proofs back, you’ll get awfully bored of seeing you and your new husband or wife in the same photos over and over, but with casual, non-posed photos, you’ll be excited every time you flip over to the next page.

Create a slide show to show off your life. The reception is all about the new couple, so show off your lives. A great trendy idea is creating a slide-show of the newlyweds, from their separate lives as children through to their engagement. You can create it yourself or perhaps get a close friend to do it. Just make sure there’s a big empty wall or a screen set up so everyone can see the photos.Order a coffee table book to display your memories in a new way. Gone are the traditional photo albums of yesteryear. One of the latest ideas is for photographers to create professional coffee table books featuring photos of the couple’s wedding day. Set one out on your coffee table and watch the guests at your very first dinner party as a married couple fawn over it. Become a boudoir beauty. Most brides want to do something special for their groom before the big day, so they choose boudoir photography. Not every photographer offers this service, which requires the bride to shed some or all of her clothing and insecurities to allow her photographer capture sexy, sensual images of her to present to her groom. Many brides pander to her groom’s likes, such as donning a jersey of his favorite sports team. Boudoir photography isn’t meant to be x-rated (though can be, sometimes), but rather more like the pin-up girls of the 1950s.
