How do you book? It is best to contact us by telephone or email first to establish our availability for your date.

It is not uncommon for couples to book their photography 12-18 months in advance.

Visit us in our Studios to see sample albums and discuss your requirements.

Bookings are accepted with a booking form and deposit of £250.00, which is refundable for any reason for 30 days; thereafter, deposits are not refundable.

This will secure your date in our diary and no further bookings for that date will be accepted. A further deposit of 75%is payable 6 weeks prior to the wedding.

The balance is payable on collection or delivery of the preview album.

Pre-Wedding Shoots – Why? Highly recommended, so book early – it’s included in the price.

We never book weddings without meeting couples first. Pre-wedding shoots are a great way to establish a rapport before the big day.

Couples often say that they hate being photographed; a pre-wedding shoot really helps to overcome these feelings.

After all most couples haven’t been professionally photographed before and the wedding day is not a practice!

Pre-Wedding Shoots – Where?

This can be in the Studio or somewhere locally that has meaning to you.
How to use the Pre-wedding Images? Ideal opportunity to produce a guest book with images including perhaps, extracts from your order of service and guest list for everyone to sign on your wedding day.

Alternatively, why not a thank you portrait for presentation to your parents on the day, or perhaps, an A3 mounted image for all guests to sign at your reception?

Do you have a shoot list for the day? Yes - we need to know who the special personalities are.

We like to learn as much as possible about your wedding day beforehand as this enables us to anticipate the best shooting opportunities.

We recommend that formal shots are kept to a minimum as this allows you more time to enjoy your party and guests; and us the time to capture natural, intimate images unobtrusively.

Photographing the bride before the ceremony gives time to photograph details like the dress, shoes and bouquets, which helps to tell the story of the day.

Coverage of the ceremony includes photographing the groom beforehand, the arrival of guests and the bride.

We are careful to respect the officiant’s rules, which are generally to refrain from the use of flash photography during the service.

Group shots are an important part of your album and are quickly taken to minimize guests waiting.

This then allows the newlyweds breathing space and time to nip off for private shots without the paparazzi!

How long do you stay? Generally up until the start of the wedding breakfast.

Extra time can be bought as per the price list and beyond this time is £100.00 per hour.

When are the photographs ready? We like to get your images onto our web-site (password protected - if required), within 10 days with preview images in hard copy available shortly afterwards.
How much are reprints? An 8”x6” print costs @£12.50 and a 10”x8” print is £20.00. Larger images may be bought framed, as a canvas or acrylic block.
How is the album designed? You select your favorite images and we will design your album to the specified number of pages you selected.

The number of images is flexible depending upon the style of album preferred.

Extra pages can, of course, be ordered.

Do we see and approve the design beforehand? Absolutely! We want you to be delighted with the result and we are happy to make revisions to add/delete images.

Amendments made after the first or second revision may be chargeable.

How long before we receive our album? Usually 6 weeks from the time you approve the design.
Are travel expenses included? Yes– travel within 25 miles of Holbrook Studios is included.

Thereafter any additional mileage is quoted beforehand at 40 pence per mile.

What photographic equipment do you use? We shoot 100% digitally with Canon cameras and prime lenses.
What happens if you are ill? To date that hasn’t happened but should it occur we know many photographers that we can rely upon to deputize subject to your approval.

Want to see some complete Weddings?

Some studios will only show you highly edited highlights of their weddings but we think it's only fair to show you everything - after all not all bride's are lucky enough to have ideal conditions on their day.

Lots of things can happen on the day like, inclement weather, accidents or delays to cause things to go awry.

The photographer needs to cope with these challenges besides the professional ones of photography, lighting, composition and expression.

Feel free to ask ANY questions and we'll do our best to have them answered right away.

You can see how we fared on some of our previous weddings here.

A new window will open.

Some weddings are pass-word protected but there are plenty you can view freely.
